The Falken Azenis have an extremely stiff sidewall. Plus they look great and have plenty of grip. Also they dont break the wallet.

falken azenis are good tires, but be careful of the heat buildup. They get very greasy when hot, this is when I autocross so I can't imagine how they feel on the track.

You might also consider toyo RA tires.

Lots of local auto crossers run the Azenis. They are a great tire for the price, for me though, I have been on the search for something with a good stiff sidewall but not so much weight. The azenis are like 29lbs or something??

Problem with the Azenis is they are asemetrical... you cant flip them on the wheel for purposes of rotation. Since you want a cheaper tire, it's probably safe to say that you want to be able to rotate them for purposes of longevity.

PS I loved them on my Type R though...
