Ohlins road and track coilovers
Is anyone running these with the standard spring rates?? How does it feel/handle?
I'm looking into purchasing these coilovers but I'm not sure how I feel about the standard spring rates of 10k Front and 8k Rear....
I know I could flip the rates around, but I don't want to have my *** end rotating that much with a 10k spring in the rear and 8k up front....
This is a street car that I DD, with occasional track days. Probably wont be doing any auto-x in this car either.

It'll handle fine with the springs swapped. It'll actually be quite similar to stock as far as balance goes.

ohlins are amazing I have heard many good things about them and so far not one bad ..yet lol ... but if this is your daily with minimum track days honestly i would go with KW or HKS still amazing and more street-able .... the one thing i heard is that ohlins are more track oriented ... but please correct me if im wrong ... as far as FA go im not a fan Taiwan parts but its assembled here! lol sorry it makes me laugh how they push that anyways back to the main point if your not going to track the car fairly often during the year you honestly dont need 3k coilovers.. believe me i was in the same boat as you not to long ago on deciding which coilovers i wanted to go with but after some research I found it not necessary I looked more into HKS and KW and now im deciding between those two.... but then again this is just my .02

actually ohlins RT are very "roadable"... just get some 9Kg springs and install them as 9/10 or 8/9 instead of stock 10/8

You noted you just DD your EVO. Dont waste your money on Ohlins. Get the FA500's as noted. They are sprung & valved to your driving environment & are rebuildable
The guys at FA speak the kings English & know our EVO very well. Ask for Terry (He's an EVO owner)

I dont know why everyone thinks ohlins are a track coilover.... it is mainly a road system and works extreamly well on bumpy roads... usually being more comfortable than stock mr billies + lowering springs..

I made the mistake of going cheap, went through a used cusco that had clunking noise went through used teins again with clunking noise went to buy new teins used it for a couple of years, ride quality was decent but not really comfortable for daily street use finally decided to get ohlins dfv r&t this year and couldnt be more happier. Lesson learned: do it right the first time

This is my daily. I have another car I use for longer trips or if I don't want to drive the Evo.
It will see the track, HPDE. I'm more into road racing, not a big auto-X guy anymore.
The reason I chose Ohlins, is because from what I've read, it seems to be the benchmark as far as street/track coilovers go.
I don't mind spending the money on a quality product.
I'm not really sure how I feel about Fortune Auto. I know a lot of people speak highly of them around here. I have no experience, so I really can't say.
Those of you on the Ohlins, what are your spring rates?

Good thinking
Just consider there are likely in excess of 10,000 people every day racing on Ohlins world wide!!
For decades, now.
That is a lot of info/customer data and trust both ways between Ohlins and recers.
These R&T are truly amazing value, and work as advertised.
I see them for $2300 ...shop and you'll find

Ohlins makes great suspension/coilovers systems, another great option would also be Aragosta Coilovers, they have different models to suit either daily/track/auto x driving.
