ok my goal is just to buy a light weight set of rims I can put some track tyres on but still look good at the track.


The rpf1 17x8 were my choice in silver but they look a bit daggy, if I could use that term, so I was thinking of rpf in black might mask it a little as I have a black evo.


I want to stick with OEM size so I can make the swap easy before track day to these rims.


So what do you think should I go with black rfp1's or is there any other rims that look good and are light in the stock size?

If your stuck on a 17x8 why not MR or SE BBS, OEM wheels, better quality than most aftermarket wheels.

Weds makes the TC105n in 17x8 +38 and +32 offset. I would get it in +32 offset to take up a bit of the fender gap. It will look great.

I would look around on Evasive's site. They have all of the JDM wheels, and by far have the easiest site to navigate.

^ Absolutely! They are GREAT looking wheels - a little more pricey than RPF1 but I believe they are even lighter and you shouldn't see them everywhere you go like you would an RPF1, if you care about that. I almost recently pulled the trigger on some 17x8.5 TC105n but decided instead on some Advan RSII in 17x8.5 +31. Good luck!

Been looking all good suggestions, the OEM BBS are like 1400 second hand here, I love those TC105n's, we are talking an extra 600 AUD on top of a set of RFP1s @1450 AUD. The boss lady is going to explode if I pay 2 grand for a set of rims and a grand more for tires, I guess I might have to settle for a set of RPF1s black and be the ugly duckling of the track

I was in the same boat two weeks ago as my RPFs are too big (18x9.5).

After doing some research and shopping around, I went with the OEM Evo 9 MR BBS wheels. They look and fit great and are roughly 17.8 Lbs.

Found 4 used wheels on Ebay that turned out great according to the guy that balanced them
