Bridgestone Re-11's or nitto nt-05's?
I'm trying to get some opinions. I have a few people locally with tires I'm considering. I have 17x9 rotas. I have the option of some almost new Bridgestone Potenza re-11's 245/45/17 or nitto nt-05 brand new 275/40/17. I'm reading really good things about the re-11's but will the get me to where I want to be(1.6 60' at least) and will the 275 nittos be better since they're wider?
Car is making almost 600whp and last week I dragged it on some bald tires and I couldn't cut better then a 2.07 60'. I was able to cut a 1.7 with almost 200 less whp last yr so I just need to hook up. Looking for opinions and maybe 60' times with these tires with similar whp.
I also have access to some dot street approved slicks Hankook Ventus Z214 c51 275/35/18's I could stretch on some 18x8.5 xxr's. They're designed more for road course but I read people have had decent experience with them dragging. Thanks in advance for any opinions or experiences

You're looking at the wrong type tires for drag racing. Stiff sidewalls cause wheel hop, and wheel hop is not your friend.
That being said, RE11's over the NT05's. The 275/40r17 tire size will be difficult to fit..

Will it be difficult to fit because of the fenders or is it the control arm? I have coil overs and the rear fenders are rolled. I don't mind raising the back a little to fit. I found some basically new 275/40/17 m/t street R radials and seeing if they'll fit.

Need to check offset of the wheels. For a good no rub fit, the 275's will need the rear fender rolled/pulled and bumper bolt relocated, in the front, they will rub the fender liners a lot when turning.
