So here is something else to think about... Don't go cheap on rotors. Previous to this season I always ran Racing Brake rotors. I would get a minimum of 10 high speed events on a set of rotors easy and the only thing I would notice is they would spider.
This season I bought some rotors off of ebay. They were like $140 shipped for all four. I used them at one event and immediately noticed reduced braking. Heck my Raybestos ST47 pads didn't even squeak! After the first low speed event I noticed the rotors had already began to show wear. Actual wear like a ridge where the pads touched. The metal was soo soft the rotor filled in its own holes with rotor material. The picture below is after only three autox events!
