Brakes, brakes and more brakes...
To anyone out there who has re-done their factory EVO 8 brakes with factory brake pads...
What did you pay for the whole job?
What was the breakdown (in other words how much were the pads versus labor)?
Was it at the Mitsu dealer?
Did you get the rotors cut?
What was your mileage?
How difficult was it if you did it yourself?
Anyone find a good price for Mitsu factory pads on-line?
I'm getting close to replacing the pads and I wanted to see if I can find a good price on-line and either do it myself or at least bring the parts to the mechainc to save $$.
Thanks

The real question you should be asking is WHY do you want to use the factory pads? They suck and they costs twice as much as everything else.
-I have had the dealer turn my rotors before. Once it cost $100 for all 4 and another time it was covered under warranty. I only had it done because of massive pad transfer problems. If you don't have these problems, don't have it done. This was done at probably 5k and 10k miles on the odo.
-Change the pads yourself its very easy. There's a good writeup in the 'How to' section. I also highly recommend that jacking block. It makes this stuff a no brainer. If you use the side factory jacking spot towards the front wheel you can jack the whole side up very quickly. Talk about NO body flex.

yeah not only that but if you go here, this is the best special for some comfortable pads, and pretty good stopping power for the money https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=107930, i got ripped off by the dealer already, the first time i changed my pads, so im just buying these and see what happens, 1/3 the price of stockers. you decide.
