Tires for a 17x8.5 +30 TE-37
I recently picked up a set of Volk Racing TE-37's in 17x8.5 +30 and the hunt is now on for tires.
I'd like to hear what you guys have run with this wheel size/offset. I'd really like to run a 255/40 tire however my research reveals that wont be possible without fender rolling. How much fender rolling would be required to stuff the 255/40?
I'd also enjoy hearing from folks with a 245/45 & 245/40 profiles.
Thanks,

no fender rolling needed on 255 wide tires. I got 2 guys here running that and no rubbing issues whatsoever. Send me pics when you get the rims =) . I suggest 17x9 and a +22mm offset in bronze. SEND ME PICS!

I had to roll the rear fender lips on my lowered car with same wheels on 255/35 PZero Corsas. A friend has the same wheels and suspension but runs Kumhos in the same size - no rubbing. I think the Pzeros run pretty wide for that size.
EDIT** this is all in 18" rims but the wheels are the same offset and width.

So you can run 255X40 with 17X9 +22mm offset with out having to roll the fenders? Would need coilovers with thet set-up or would some lowering springs like the Hotchkis be good enough?

Justin,
You might be OK with 255/40 as long as the tires don't run too wide. However I'd stick to 245/40 on that offset wheel, just to be on the safe side. Another car had serious rubbing issues on 17x8.5" 30mm on 245/40 hoosiers - which also run wide for a 245.
You can always get a used 255 tire to try in the back before making a final purchase.
How's that 3076?
