Tein Tech-S question

Anyone with the Tech-S or even the Tech-H have any problems bottoming out? I have my 91 Talon lowered 2 inches with Eibach springs and AGX's and that thing slams the bump stops pretty bad sometimes. Obviously, I don't want that for my brand new car. I'm thinking of buying the Tech-S very soon. So, any input would be appreciated.

Seems like it's happening for people with stock suspension.

I have Tein S-Tech springs and only bottom out on steep driveways, potholes, etc. If you drive carefully over steep areas you should be fine. You have to remember S-Techs have one of the biggest drops of any lowering spring sets available for the Evo (1.9" drop in the front, 0.9" drop in the rear).

Thanks for the response. Was there a noticable difference in the handling with the Tein's?

Yes, I thought so but I also attribute a large factor in the fact that I went from Advans to Sumitomo All-Seasons.

I am planning on new summer tires this spring which will give me a better comparison to how much a difference the springs made on handling.

when installing the s-tech, do you have to cut the bumpstop in half?

Using S-tech's will have more chances of the damper bottoming-out, compared to the H-tech(minimal drop compared to s-tech's)
