Exclamation Brembos Paint Peeling (Mega Merge)

Does anyone have a problem where the clear coat on the stock Brembo calipers peeling? I just noticed it today, that almost half the clear coat on my caliper is gone! It is just pale red! At first I thought there was something wrong with my eyes but upon closer inspection, it was peeling. This is also only happening on the passanger side. What can one do? Will the dealer cover it under warrenty? Seems like a defect. I dont track the car either, which is where I hear people expericing change caliper colors. Do I have to repaint them? The car only has 10k miles.

Thanks again.

Alfred

normal

This is a normal event with brembo's. Only way to truely get it back is to strip(sand blast) the caliper and reseal it again.

Godspeed do reconditioning for calipers at their website:-

Nope, none at all.

Kane: Too bad I am in the US.

Braf: I would but I didnt feel it was right for a caliper to peel like that especially them being so new. I will have to see what the dealer says. Thanks again.

Yo, if I were you, I wouldn't be complaining of your caliper clear coat peeling. You should be happy that your clutch and TC are holding up. Damn, I can't wait to here what you say when that S..T starts to go.... Say your prayers, and count your blessings!!!!!

Brembos

A few times on a road course track event and not only is the clear coat gone but you have a set of Brownboos. In between the clear coat goes.

MY clear coat and pait are completely missing around the bleed nipple. It's even began to rust a little. Probably where a little brake fluid was left there after all the time I've bleed the system. But whatever, I don't care.

My left side is practically pink now and my right caliper is starting... I went to the dealership yesterday and they said to come back Jan 26 so that the Service Manager for the Area could come take a look at it first and hopefully they replace it

This should definately be covered under warranty. I mean really what are they gonna say, you used your brakes too much, warranty void?!

the one reason they are strict about our calipers is they need to order new ones and each caliper is 1000 +
