mine some times make a noise and it's the tires rubbing the inner feder plastic. During turns or during straight driving?

+1 I had the same issue. Remove the strut spring assembly and tighten the spring. Basically, you don't have enough preload on the spring and it's twisting on the strut seat.

After you re-seat the spring with the proper preload then everything should be fine.

Good luck

Check the nut in that little cap thingy. What holds the strut to the whole, bucket, seat, spinny thing, where all the grease is. I had mine a little loose and it was making noise.

I installed hotchkis springs about 2 weeks ago and now i have a noise coming from the front right spring when I backup and turn the wheel. Its the spring moving around and im almost positive it needs to be reset. Can I just tighten the strut nut, or should i pull it all apart to reset?
Thanks for your time

I found that I couldn't get any additional preload on the spring without removing the whole assembly. My car is currently getting another alignment

After getting the spring/strut assembly out, I just used my impact wrench and tightened the top nut down which gave me the proper preload on the spring and i was set.

Not sure the front springs can be installed upside down, just did mine and they looked the same on both ends. I just installed with the writing right side up. The rear can be installed improperly..

I had to really mess with the fronts to get the springs in the correct position. I could see this being problematic...

One thing I noticed was there seemed to be no difference in left and right shocks in the front or the rear (obviously there is a difference between front and rear). Is this the case? I took care to place them back where they came just in case... Can they be switched universally?

Make sure that the end of spring coil is seated up against the notch on the spring pearch. Once you put the top on you will need to preload the spring by using an impact wrench to torque it down. You can't do this by hand because the spring will just spin (unless you have a way to secure the spring from moving).

This will get rid of the clunk.
