Springs for Proflex / Öhlins
I was asked who makes springs for Proflex dampers. Talking about the 3 way adjustable here with separate gas containers. A Spanish Evo driving maniac raised the question.
I know obviously Proflex sell springs with their dampers, not sure who makes them for them (I dont think they make them themselves), I know Eibach make some. My suspension specialist shop here in France can get custom springs, any size, length, rate etc. They cost around 60 - 80 USD.
Does anybody else know of different suppliers?

No, Proflex actually make them themselves. Otherwise I think you mentioned the most important ones already. Eibach custom springs is what I want to get. Or does your shop have any in the right size (60mm, tarmac setting, like yours) for me in stock, with helper springs? Does anyone know the contacts for the Proflex headquarters?? I've tried to find them for ages, but no luck....

My shop should have springs for your Proflex's, they sell lots of those. What length / rate do you want? Do you need compensators?
I know Proflex are Dutch, but I havent got their address. Maybe try and search the online Dutch telephone directory (if they have that there ).

I have heard the same thing as Claudius: another Dutch manufacturer makes the springs that come with Proflex shocks, but the springs show the brand 'Proflex'.
What length do you recommend for the springs? I recently bought a used set in very good condition, and they come in 270mm-90N/mm (front) and 300mm-80N/mm (rear).
What spring lenths are normally used with Proflex shocks for tarmac/road use? I've heard Eibach does not manufacture them in 270mm, so if I decide to fit softer ones of this brand I'll have to go for either 250 or 300mm.
I will fit them tomorrow as they came, although it looks they will be a bit harsh for road use. Once I try them I'll have my own opinion.

Dutch companies, eh.... I heard that they really make them themselves, but who cares.
Rallyman, Eibach make ANY springs for you, just a question of the price I have a brochure from them which makes you fill out all sorts of **** that I don't know (cornerweight, Wheeltravel, etc...) and then they engineer you the exact springs for your need. I don't know how expensive that is, but can't imagine it being a bargain, cause I think it involves an engineer calculating something....
My gravel spring on the Proflex are 350mm (front)(not sure about that, could be 330...) and 52 NM (fornt and back) (sure about that).
Tell me how you feel about your springs. I think you'll be able to live with them, depending on how you set up your shocks. Most of the harshness comes from the bump settings in my opinion...especially low speed bump.
Also, please tell us the ride height, camber and toe settings please..

Andre, you are a hero!! Did you have to use some secret dutch techniques to get their contact details? They're almost impossible to find... Now I can call them and ask what springs they recommend and, more importantly, if they make them themselves, or not

Hello, I can name two more companys that you won't disappoint. One is Hypercoil - they are one of the best in the world and they made in USA( they can make any type of spring) . The other one is call Coil spring is from UK. (They are rally spring specialist, some WRC team are using them).
