will 05 evo 8 suspension interchange with evo 9 suspension?

will 05 evo 8 suspension interchange with evo 9 suspension?

hi, im borrowing a friends evo 9 tein flexs for a show, will that work on a 05 evo 8?

how about the stock evo 8 suspension going on a evo 9? the coilover assembly is much longer and i cant get the knuckle to bolt

yes an evo 8 suspension should fit on a 9, but I dont know why you'd want the 8 on the 9 lol

you should have just go to tein.com and it will tell you the fitment guide for the flex

yeah i double checked and its it the same product number. im going to take it off and compare lengths. ill post pics if i get a chance

as you can see, the bracket of the assembly will not clear the axleshaft. i moved the knuckle around and still can not squeeze it in. if i push down on the rotor, the ***** of the cv joint will pop out... ummm any suggestions? am i the first to try and do this?

you need to lift both sides of the car. it looks like you are doing one side at a time and the sway bar is holding the assembly up. if you disconnected the sway bar the hub and axle would be much lower to the point where you need to lift it up to slide the bolts into the strut.

edit, or you can just lift both sides of the car off the ground at the same time. use stands to do it obviously.... or use the front jack point if you don't have the undertray on...

+1 ... from the pic it seems you aren't lifting both front left and right off the ground.
