Max tire width on the 17x9 and 17x9.5

As the title says, I'm just curious what are the limits on both rims deciding what to get for the next season.

Max that works best or max that you can put on it and get it under the car?

What I normally recommend and have done myself is 255 on a 9 and I run 275's on 9.5's both 18 and 17 inches.

What is your suspension set-up currently. That can help determin one over another. Rule of thumb though is 9" 255 and 9.5" 265-275.

You can fit a 275 on a 9" rim, but it won't fit inside the fenders unless you roll them.

Yes I did rolled the rear fenders, so this is not a problem. My friend he has the 255s on his Advans RGs and he had to roll his front fenders because they were rubbing, but I think this was due to the offset that he has on the rims.
