Seriously, why are you going to a smaller tire? There are plenty of other tires out there that come in oem size.

its not that i want to go to smaller tire. its that my car is lowered these tire are made for lowered cars, it keeps the thread even out so it'll last longer.also performs just as good what others would buy. is there other similar tires?

NO!
This size is for E6 like I have, or Evo 4-6
Evo 7-9 shall have 235/45-17
Keep the size stock for normal driving

Narrower than stock tires? Not the way people usually go in terms of a replacing tires on a performance car. I'm sure that even if the car is lowered, you can still go 255s without any problems. Have the alignment adjusted for optimal thread wear if thats what you're looking to do.

I'm lowered wth 255's all around and I have zero rubbing and completely even treadwear.

there i posted all the smileys that represented what i thought when i saw this thread

On another note, if you go with a smaller tire you expose your rim to curve rash and you loose alot more grip then it is worth.

If you want an even tread wear, key factors:

- Good suspension
- Good Tires
- EXCELLENT ALIGNMENT

the only 225/45/17 I run is for my SNOW tires.

There are SO many brands/types of tires out there, why just pick one @ 225?? for daily summer?

Me too. This is a scenario in which narrower tires are beneficial.

No reason to go with a skinny tire on the Evo other than snow tires. Hell, even my snow tires are 235/45/R17's. For a summer (replacement) tire, don't go anything skinnier than a 245. There's really no good reason for you to go skinny. If your car is a show car, then sell it to someone who knows what they're doing.
