axis ultimate pads???

axis ultimate pads???

so i bought some axis ultimate pads(they were desent and at a good price) before xmas and put about 3k miles on them. I cannot get them to stop squealing..seriously, i have scared people with the noise. and no matter what i do or try i cant get it to stop. if anyone has used these, has this problem, or has info, please help..thanks

I have them. I guess its just their nature to squeal as I thought it was unusual, but i don't have shims either. So like I said I guess its just their nature. They're a great pad for the money. I've done a few mtn. runs with them and everyone else (other Evo's and subies) were having brake fade and had to stop I was able to still go strong .

yeahm for the price theyre pretty good but they squel reallly reall loud!...its almost embarassing when i go places cause they think my car is ****ty or somthing...i dont want to give evos a bad rep...lol

I've got them and mine squeal too. I have the shims in and used the anti-seize grease and globbered the hell out of them with CRC orange brake-quiet glop. Still squeaking. Not completely crazy drive-you-out-of-your-mind squealing, but still pretty annoying. On the plus side they stop the car pretty well, and they were cheap as hell. I haven't punished them a whole lot yet.

Your going to love them when you beat the hell out them!
