Yesterday my left rear brake start to squeal badly, today i swap it off and i notice one of the pads wear out and it wear out with an angle, on the top is totaly out and the bottom still have compound. Is that normal how the pads wear out or i have problem with the calliper.
Help! need to know before i order new pads.

By the way, I have to purchase new pads ASAP, which one you guys recomend me, OEM, Ferodo or Hawks HP+. I want it for street use, sometime i drive hard on street, some mountain, maybe autox.

As far as I know, the pad should wear evenly across the whole caliper... but I'm not an expert.

It should wear evenly.

Is there any material on your rotor or caliper that would cause the pad to mate against the rotor unevenly? Is there an issue with your caliper?

I'd recommend DS2500 or PF Z pads. I'm not a fan of HP+ personally. Just my .02

the pad should wear even. I have gone through 3 sets of rear pads from track use and have never had any uneven wear issues. I usually go throught 3 sets of front pads to every 1 set of rear pads. I would check out the rear calipers to make sure everything checks out okay.
