Nitto 555R REVIEWS?
Does any of you guys run these on the street? How's the tread wear on the street how many miles did you get out of them? cornering performance? ride quality?
I'm thinking of running them on the street but don't know.

I bought them for drag racing. I drive to and from the track. My best 60ft at the sh*tiest track imaginable in Ohio was a 1.65. I need to get back to Norwalk on a prep'ed track to see if the really are good.
The tires are good on the street, the side wall is softer than the stock tires. If you get caught in the rain... DRIVE SLOW
I wish now I would have gotten the A048 Advans.

I got a set due to having a local drag strip that doesn't let street tire cars run in the "groove." I don't need DRs on sticky tracks, but launching off the bare concrete was dumb.
1) Decent, repeatable performance on launches. I cut regular 1.65-1.66s with my 2-step set to 7k and tire pressure around 20psi all around. Not stellar 60's, but I'm launching it as hard as possible with minimal tirespin, and this is only during TNT nights with minimal prep. I have yet to launch them during a real weekend event with tons of rubber/vht on the launch surface. The BFGs are stickier, but...
2) The 245/45 has definitely helped me at the top of 4th in terms of not having to rev as high. I haven't seen an increase in trap speed, but I'm not having to wind it out as far in 4th, so the gearing effect has been what I expected. BFGs only come in 225/45 for us, which is shorter than stock, thus lowering the stock gearing.
3) I have been driving them daily for the last few weeks due to all the drag nights I've gone to. They are perfectly fine for DD in dry weather, but I can't tell you how the wear will be. I would never drive these as a dedicated DD - only for going to/from the drag strip.
4) Cornering is horrible compared to my normal DD tires - Direzza Z1 Star Specs
5) Ride quality I don't notice.
