blown front struts...common?

Is it common for evos to blow struts on such low milage?

I have a 04 rs with currently 24k on the clock.Over the past 2 or 3 weeks I have been gettings some noise from both sides of the front of the car when going over bumps.Without taking anything apart I have initially determined that its either my struts or my strut mounts that are blown. I am going to check everything else down there tonight to make sure it is nothing else.

Now I am asking if this is something common because my friend has a 03 gsr with 20k on it and he is experiancing the same thing.

Thanks
Remy

I have a 2004 and i have also blown both front struts. First it was the passenger side and then about 2 years later, this past aug, had the driver side go. I had them replaced under warranty through the dealer.

Your swaybar endlinks are probably loose. They won't feel loose unless you get both front tires up in the air. Jack up the whole front of the car (use jackstands) when you tighten them.
