I think so but the difference is so small that you have to wonder whether it's worth the $2K+ cost.

Are you maxing out the stock brakes already? How?

With the exception of the few hard core racers, I've yet to see anyone who can't live with the stock calipers, new 2-piece rotors, track only pads, and cooling ducting. Then again, I don't race endurance races.

Bigger rotors mean you need bigger rims. Check this out:

I will operate under two assumptions, this is a serious time attack car and you are not made of money. There are BBKs that fit 17" wheels. I would go with Stoptech over the Brembo BBKs on cost alone. Like someone said above, you really will not increase your heat capacity or dissipation (the major point in upgrading to a BBK) if you do not go with a larger and wider rotor and caliper. I was very set on getting a Stoptech BBK until I switched to good race pads. My pedal is horribly inconsistent, but the power and fade resistance is there. I think I can improve on the consistency and will be happy with my current setup until switching permanently to Rcomp and increasing power.

Bottom line is, most people will tell you the stock brake setup is good for 99% of users. I would disagree, it can be effective for most, probably even 90%+ but there are inherent weaknesses in the stock setup and a BBK can yield meaningful gains in serious track situations, even for a less than insane racer. For your situation, most will tell you to max the stock setup and I would be inclined to agree. You will not be happy shelling out 5k for a four corner Brembo BBK and gaining 2% in overall braking performance. Good luck with whatever you do.
