Baer eradispeed plus rotor questions

I'm looking around to purchase some new rotors, and I would like to go to a 2 piece design. Full floating would be nice, but not necessary.

In my research, it seems as though the Bear Eradispeed Plus 2-piece rotors were a choice for Evo owners years ago when there weren't many choices on the market at that time. Most of the reviews that I have read were positive.

The only thing I don't like about the Eradispeed Plus rotors are that they are cross-drilled, but since I don't track or race my car, I don't think cracking should be too much of a concern, and didn't seem to be an issue in the reviews that I read.

But, overall, these rotors seem to be the lightest and cheapest two piece rotors. There front pair ship for $495 from a few vendors, where other brands like the Girodisc 2-piece are in the neighborhood of $700+shipping per pair.

So, lightest, cheapest, and a good company like Baer....why aren't more people running these now? I heard they were going to be discontinued for the Import market since they didn't sell as well as the domestic market, but they still are for sale at several vendors for the mentioned price.

So, has anyone recently run these rotors and have any experience to share?

I believe Baer doscontinued that package a few years back due to lack of interest from consumers.

That's what I heard too, but I found at least three separate vendors that are still selling the EVO rotors, #2611010 (front).

If they truly are discontinued, that's fine. I don't mind taking some sets that are left over. I'm just curious as to anyone's recent experience with them.

I will check out your link as well. Thanks.

Yeah, some of the vendors are still selling what they have left. My problem with that is not knowing if Baer still makes the replacement rotor rings and hardware when time comes replacement. I do know 2 local autox'ers that have them and love them. Really, though, I would recommend finding more current and widely available.

I have the Baers front and rear. Like you, I was concerned about the crossdrilling. It's not something I wanted. Having driven them for the last 3 years, the corssdrilling never presented a problem. No cracking or any other issues.

I have a set of almost new rotors for sale. I ran them for one auto-x season and almost no street miles.

No offense, but I'd rather pay $900 for 4 completely new rotors than $775 for used ones. I personally wouldn't buy used rotors anyway, but if you really want to sell those, you really need to come down in price a lot.
