Anybody have a rough "rule of thumb" idea how much toe I will pick up adding 1 degree of negative camber? Possibly what that roughly equates to on turns of the tie rods?
Right now, I've got -2.5 degree in the front with 0 toe. I'm going to adjust my camber plates to give me roughly -3.5 degrees up front for an auto-X tomorrow. I would like to get toe close enough that it's not going to cause stability problems.

Just increase your - camber, setup some strings and measure. That will tell you how much 1* of added camber increases toe. Adjust accordingly and rock out.
Or you could just eyeball it. Seriously...you'd be surprise how close you can get it just by getting down on the ground and looking straight down the side of the car and comparing front to back. Assuming you have 0 toe in the back.
Just add or subtract toe until it looks decent.

I've never done a string alignment and have to get a ton of other things done today so I can race tomorrow. Don't really have time to learn how to do a string alignment this weekend.
you're autoxing right?
I honestly think you'll be fine if you add 1 degree and just give the toe a halfturn or so. Assuming you're starting with 0 toe. That amount of change in camber isn't going to make a huge difference for a day of autoX.
You should look into the string alignment. It's really pretty easy man.
Good luck dude.

Yeah, I was meaning to learn how to do it today, but instead I get to finish a bunch of advanced strengths homework as I failed to finish it yesterday. Half a semester left...thank god.
"About a half turn per degree" or "about a turn per degree" is along the lines of what I was looking for. Thanks
