ShaaaZaam!. The width is deceptive from side shots as its all tucked away nicely

Those 265's are super wide

^^ as always you are on point Joe. Yes totally tucked in and that was my goal. Appreciate your guidance. I will likely be doing the rear bolt relocation eventually. I ran enough camber to avoid doing it for now and the ride height isn't totally dumped so the combination of both has kept the rubbing from occurring int the rear. +28 to +30 seemed to be the breakpoint where that bolt HAS to be moved if I was going any lowered. So we played around with the ride height where I was not running any further camber than -2 and car looked good and I have not encountered any heavy understeer.. I also balanced the rake more so the front isn't so much lower than the rear as it was before.

We're on the same page Roger. Yeah, would like to see your ride height a tad lower in the rear.

My set-up was centered around track performance so we had to do all the necessary tricks to avoid any rub (some of the rear treatment would not pass your approval on appearance)

Looks really nice!
I can order only Federal ST-1

Federal tires usually are a little bulky. Couple friends had them before and they all seem to fit a size bigger. I think that stance looks mean. Maybe a quater inch lower in the rear. I like when then back isn't lower than the front how a normal evo looks from factory

Yeah, you are correct. For sure, they run 1 size larger that noted. Both Astro Train & I have mounted the 265/40's & they measure 275mm wide / 10.8"

I just got an 17x9 +22 rpf1 and will be on 235/40/17. Do i need to roll the back fenders? Also is there a formula that lets you calculate how wide you can go without rolling the fenders?

Hey Nicolas. No formula but, at times, I use this calculator that helps me see comparisons
https://www.willtheyfit.com/

For sure on the rear roll. Certainly cant have any rub! Would rather see you on a bit higher offset above +30, but i understand the +22's look real good

Make sure you check on the front caliper fit. Hopefully no spacers are needed

Joe

Why you feel +30 would be better?

+30 pushes the wheel a bit further into the well & makes fitment easier & we could consider running a 255/40

But if youre set on the +22's, the 235 tire helps w/fitment & the rear roll is likely all that is needed

Heres my ride sitting on a Federal 265/40 (really a 275) on 17 x 9 +29's (White RS)
Also, Astro Trains Red RS w/ 17x9.5 +28 TE37SL 265/40 (Federals)

i see what you are saying, to go with an offset of around +30 so to be able to use a wider tire without fender work. My purpose was to go as aggressive as i could by using a "smaller" tire so to be faster. The idea was if i could get something from both worlds. Beauty and performance. We will see how it goes when i put the rims on the car.

Both cars in the photos look really good...

The calculator you posted was really helpful. It shows that the rim will go approximately 3cm closer to the fender and that was what i was looking for

you'll need a 10mm spacer up front to fit those. So your total overall offset will be +12mm up front and yeah I'd recommend a slight roll in the rear all depending how low you plan on taking it.

Sounds about right to me except when clearing a suspension we dont like to rely on ride height. We prefer full clearance through the suspension stroke

Nicolas. Dont get me wrong, Even at a 17x9 +30 running a 255/40 a rear roll will be needed. My setup required the full rear fender mod (roll, pull, bumper bolt relocation & some other fine tuning
