Yeah, it kinda works that way. The tire certainly plays a roll in fit but the wheel offsets of the 17" & 18" are the same

For example a 17x9.5 +15 vs a 18x9.5 +15 are both the same in that they poke way too much for the EvO rear

ohhh I see what you're saying. I don't mind the poking out of the wheels. I do prefer the aggressive look. However, if I replace my coilovers for lowering spring/strut combo, my dilemma would be fitment on the current setup I have now. I am not seeing much thread on 18x9.5 with lowering springs on Evo 8. Most are on coilovers.

Theres really no diff running springs vs C/ors. The only time it really makes a diff is if you run a high offset wheel (i.e. +35 to +38) and run a high profile tire (i.e. 40 series) on a 18" wheel. The 40 series tire on the 18" wheel gets very close to the strut spring perch

So I'm running some discontinued Konig Stampedes, 18x8 (can't read offset) on 255x35x18 Continental Extreme Contact DWS but using a 25mm spacer up front. Looking to pick up a set of NT-03s 18x9.5+27 on 265x35x18 Michelin Pilot sports. Not wanting to run spacers anymore, at least not the ones I have on now, and rear is rolled. Will I have any issues?

That NT-03 18x9.5+27 is the super classic wheel for the EvO. A 12mm front spacer is needed IIRC. Most guys using a 15mm IIRC. Its a great wheel & fits pretty well in the rear due to the +27 offset. Almost all the Enkies need front spacers

Was that your question?

Yes, Thanks!! but also was asking about the increase in width of the tires?

Running a 265/35 tire on a 9.5" wheel w/a +27 offset, a slight rear pull, rear fender roll & bumper bolt relocation is needed IMHO

Asking for a friend ESR SR07

A friend has a 9 and looking to get ESR SR07's 18 x 9.5 +35mm just wondering if anyone is running this size wheel. he doesn't know what tire he's going to use yet and he's concerned about clearance with the front calipers and rubbing issues any help would be appreciated. and post photos if you can thank you guys

@1012Xmr Theres no simple way to determine if these ESR's would need a front spacer but its very likely they would. There are not that many wheels that fit the EvO front w/out spacer usage due to the Brembos

It usually takes a super concave spoke design or a flat outboard face wheel to clear the Brembos

Aside from that, its actually a very doable size for the EvO front & rear.

Is there any chance he can do a test fit?

How the heck did Nto3 owners (18x9.5 +27 265/35/18) fit the front without the wheel/tire poking out so much?Using 10mm hub centric spacers with extended studs, Continental Extreme Contact Sports. Front camber is at 1.5.

Yeah, that looks about right. The +27 running a 12mm spacer or so equates to approx a +15 offset. (have heard that a 12mm was the min spacer size)

+15 is certainly aggressive but the EvO front certainly absorb that level of offset (not w/out its problems though. Front liner rub is a given w/a 265 tire & the shallow offset)

in your example that owner did the front fender extension kit to provide a bit more room

Dang, I was kinda scared of that happening to me too. I want NT03 badly, don't get me wrong, but I kinda wanted a flush look without too much camber. I am going to go +27 all around but I was worried that with a 15mm spacer the wheel would pop out like that. I'm going with a 255/35. But I've seen many Evos run this wheel and haven't seen much of them pop out like that. Why is that though? Any help guys, please. Haha. I'm getting those wheels probably next week and I don't want to have that same issue.

I haven't gotten mine yet so can't really help out. But I really don't want my wheels to pop out like that, much less do the front fender mod. xD

Yeah was shocked how far it poked out when mounting the wheels. Considering the EvoX brake swap to use a 5mm spacer bringing the wheels in. A 10mm spacer cleared the front caliper with 1-2mm of gap. Also did a diy Evo Dave fender mod, approximately 10mm further out. I guess people go with camber to tuck the wheels in. Forgot to mention the pictures are from my car, just got the Nto3s.

Dang, I don't really like the look of the wheel/tire poking out too much, and also I don't like adding to much camber either. Haha xD I was looking in to those wheels for a little bit of more performance and grip but also at the same time a good look. But seeing how far they poke out and I was going to go with the recommended 12 to 15mm spacer. Do you actually need a whole lot of camber to tuck them in at least for a bit of a more fender/tire flushness? I really want those wheels badly! I don't mind camber just not to excessive and I domt really want the fender mod. xD I've seen a lot of pics and I've seen them run so flush and perfect, and they claim their 18x9.5 +27.

Seriously bamboozled on how others got theirs so nice.

Nto3 Picture thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...re-please.html

Edit: Added (2) 10mm thick nylon washers and stacked both by the fender to the headlight connection point. Pushed in the DIY Evo Dave fender mod, not as wide. I'm satisfied with the look now.
