^ I've been rocking my 17x9.5 NT03's for a couple of years now and still love them. They are reasonably cheap, lightweight (given their width) and my favorite of them all- strong.
Im obviously bias here however I still think the NT03s are really the best option still to date.

I have also read threads that say the MR 6 Speed is junk over 400hp. I made 500 wheel on this oem transmission with 80,000 miles and I flat shift the **** out of this gear box.
I did a bit of searching myself and can't seem to find a bad thread that is not from 2006 and a discontinued wheel.
Konig also has a NASA Discount which is a real motivator for me to buy at even more of a discount than the already awesome retail. I didn't see them on the list, I will shoot Konig an email. Were they quick to respond?

I was considering these wheels yesterday until I started reading some really negative threads regarding the overall quality of Konig wheels. Konig has been around a while and I had heard of them so I thought it might be okay to pick-up a set of these. The nice thing is that if you destroy a wheel, they're not even $200 to replace.
I'm going to pay the extra $100 per wheel and get the NT03s. I'll also save 2 lbs. per corner and that's nothing to sneeze at.

I'll be checking back for updates on your wheels. What were you planning on using them for?

Good news, fast reply and they have decided to add some wheels to the list one being the 17x9.5 Torch, so even cheaper than the DTD price listed above! My car has been an autox car/track car every weekend for almost 5 years. I will be taking it out on track instead of the Miata this years so I am buying 2 sets for now. One will be on 275 Hoosiers, other on 245 KOOKS
It's heat soak from auto crossing or road racing that kills the six speed, not power IIRC. Not to say that there aren't six speeds out there holding up fine to that sort of abuse.
My reply via the website submission form was about 15 minutes, so pretty quick.

The 245 tire on 9.5" wide wheel setup is common on autocross cars limited to 245-width tires per class rules. The extra stretch [supposedly] provides additional stability. 9.5" is actually still within the wheel width range recommended by Dunlop for the 245/40R17 ZII, for example, so it's actually not that bad of a stretch. It doesn't look square, but it doesn't look unreasonably stretched (or 'hellaflush') either.

Hmmm those are nice I'm going to add those to the list that i'm currently looking at but since there are so many cheap wheels out there I don't know what I want to do.
