Poly mounts don't cause clunking.

As Kaj said, the poly mounts themselves don't cause clunking. However, if you are talking about the clunk when you shift too fast, yes the energy suspension bushings on the mustache bar should help with this tremendously. When I tore my stock mustache bar bushing, all the diff wanted to do was clunk between hard shifts. The stock side bushings mostly just keep the entire diff from rotating with the driveshaft. The mustache bar and mustache bar delete kits keep the diff from "bucking" forward and back.

My rebuilt rear diff is pretty quite with poly bushings. It's was pretty bad stock. And when stock it was silent on stock bushing, loud with poly.

I'm going to to replace the bushings that mount to the chassis with stock and leave every other bushing energy suspension. I would think that should help keep the noise down greatly.
