Front suspension EVO6 and EVO8
Hello for everybody!
Someone know if the front suspension in EVO 6 in the same of EVOLUTION 8?
I just need to know if the coil is the same diameter?
Because I would like to mount the evo 8 coil in the evo 6.
Someone can help me?
Thanks for a lot!

I have fitted evo 8 coil overs to my evo 6 but I've read that the evo 8 ones may be slightly different but they fit fine in mine. If you're worried about it you can get the kit from Ross sport for it.

If your talking about just the spring coil yes it will fit but it will push the front height of the evo6 a bit higher by a couple mm. That ross port fit kit your looking at is for mounting later evo 7/8/9 front struts to an evo5/6 as the bottom hub holes are slightly different in size with the later cars having larger holes for the bolts so you would need to drill out larger holes to fit them onto the evo5/6 knuckle with the mentioned kit u wouldnt need to drill the holes out. Fitting the stock suspension of a later evo to an older 5/6 evo is an ok swap but i would rather just go for a dedicated coil over setup for the money that u would end up spending. The main issue is with the slight ride height increase as the later evo are on a heavier body compared to the lighter earlier models its not a drastic increase but you will definetly notice it especially on the front of the evo6 with the increased fender gap
