What are the best coil overs that are streetable for daily driving yet would be good for autocross work? Best bang for the buck. Thanks!

Many of us run FA Coilovers. I would recommend a nice set of 500's. You can get them quoted by MAP

I run the 510's which are a bit more track oriented

Ohlins. I've driven a lot of other coilovers, including FA.

Get some Ohlins R/T's from Performance shock inc, and the price delta isn't large enough to bother going cheaper.

2nd Ohlins, its tried and true for a comfy setup thats capable of managing decent AX rates.

I run fortune auto 510 on my 9 and i daily it, its pretty comfortable. Now i'm wondering how comfortable these Ohlins are.

IMO FA is the best value, but they can't match the dampening of Ohlins. Best compromise/all-around coilover = Ohlins. Best value = FA.

For an IX MR which will see 90% street and maybe 10% autoX/roadcourse racing, what spring rates would you guys recommend for the FA500 and what spring rates for the Ohlins R&T?

Consider 8K /10K for the FA's. The Ohlins dont come properly springed for the EvO but the same rate would apply after they are changed

Ohlins come with10k/8k f/r. You can just swap springs from front to rear and they'll be fine.

I can vouch. I don't run Ohlins (yet), but my my spring rates are 8/10 and I've never had a complaint other than in slaloms at the local autox... which is far from a major concern for me.

Thanks for the response guys. I'm on the cusp of picking up either the Ohlins R&T or the FA500 Gen 7 (once it drops at the end of the year). What else should I install (suspension-wise) while I'm putting in the coilovers? Rear Sway Bar, Roll Center Kit, Bump Steer Kit, etc? I appreciate all your input! Cheers!
