Everything to know about evo 8/9/10 OEM wheels

UPDATE: Spreadsheet of Information:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Hello EvolutionM. I want to make a video (Boosted Films) about all the OEM (USDM) evo 8/9/10 wheels. Hoping for some help from the community.

Year - Wheel Options:
2003 - 1) evo 8 Enkei only
2004 - 1) evo 8 Enkei only
2005 - 1) evo8 Enkei 2) evo 8MR bbs's
2006 - 1) evo9 Enkei 2) evo9MR bbs's 3) evo 9SE bbs's
2008-2014 - 1) GSR Enkei & 2) MR bbs's
2015 - 1)GSR Enkei 2) MR bbs's 3) FE Enkei

So there are basically 6 different wheel options from 2003-2015.

3 Enkei's:
1)evo8
2)evo9
3)evo10 (FE option would make 4)

3 BBS's:
1)evo 8/9 MR
2)evo 9 SE
3)evo X MR

Questions:
1) Did i miss any wheels?
2) What would you like to know about these wheels if I was to compare them all?
3) Is it safe to say all evo x wheels would work on a evo 8/9?
4) If no to question 3, whats ones are all compatible?

I hope to answer all these question myself soon. But I know this community has a lot of knowledge to share to help out.

I currently own all the enkei wheels (minus the evo X FE), but I want to buy all 3 BBS options if anyone has 1 wheel of each to sell.

Thanks!

Hey Paul

Ill comment on:

No.3 = I ran the EvOX GSR's on my 9 for 2 years or so. The wheel size is: : 18x8.5" ; +38 offset ;5x114.3 ; 67.1mm centerbore
AFAIK, all the X wheels were built in that size

And yes, they are a true x-over fit-up on the CT9A. Obviously Brembo friendly. I ran a Toyo 255/35. No rear fender work required unless you run a 265 series (would need some neg camber or a roll)

Joe

MR SE is not a "real" trim, it's technically just an MR with an appearance package. the SE wheels are the ones that are different (the light mercury silver color)

bbk?

There are the Gray BBS wheels from 2005 Evo 8 MR.

It would be beneficial to throw in the wheel weight of each type of wheel.

That is were i'm a bit torn if it should be treated as a different wheel or not.

Were the evo 8/9 MR SE BBS (black diamond) wheels only available on the evo9's? I think so...
while the 8/9 MR BBS's (gray) wheels could come on the 05 evo 8's and the evo 9.

My bad. always meant BBS.

I hope to get the weight of all wheels for comparison.

There are a few threads out there confirming the non fit of the CT9A wheels on the X

Heres one post from our Robevo noting they do not fit due to the larger rotor (post no.3)

It's not an MR SE, it's just an SE

And yes, I'd consider it a different wheel than the gray MR wheels

Worth noting there is a slight difference between the MR BBS wheels and the SE BBS wheels aside from color. The inner barrel has a different design; this was discussed on here somewhere recently along with pictures. There is a chance the weights of these wheels are slightly different as well.

Not sure if it's worth making a video on this, but I did create a spreadsheet.

Are you going to tackle the JDM and UKDM wheel options?

Also what about Evo 7 wheels?
