which one's of the dba brakes where you thinking of the slotted or gold? To me the slotted are probably better, but I don't think they'll be up to the job either, as I think the focus of the company seems to be more the 4door saloon and 4WD offroad cars.v I found a funny name though, how about the:

"Holden Jackaroo" imagine the name spoken with a heavy aussie accent,

The other company looks good as they make quite a lot of discs which suggests that they'll engineer them well... but hey, the only way of knowing is trying them..

michael i don t know wich one is the best

i need to test first.

claudius why do i need once piece discs

because they are cheaper than 2 piece discs
with those high friction pads you need new discs more often os the cheaper the better.

ferodo 3000 are noisy on brembo discs
ferodo 3000 are NOT noisy on ford cosworth discs

so i don t know how they handle on CTF disc you need to test

friction of rs14 isn 0.58

Well my thinking like the more parts there are, the more can fail. Think of the AK47s mechanism...

Exclamation

Claudius

the Pagid RS14 is a ceramic based pad whereas the DS3000 as far as I'm concerned has also a metallic compound. So this pad will be much harder to the discs.

In my opinion the friction coefficient of the RS 14 is already far enough as you can already lock the wheels with ease.

But in this comparison it's more important to find out the modulation. The RS 14 has not such a good modulation but maybe the DS 3000 is better in this respect. It also good to know in which temperature range those pads work best to find out the best combination of pad material and disc surface/material. Cold bite is also important when you drive on the autobahn as after ten minutes the brakes are stone cold and coming to a traffic jam waiting around a bend is not what you want then.

Hope this helps

Mike

claudius try them you will not be dissapointed

scoobymike

DS 3000 working temp is 100 degrees to 750 degrees
pagid rs 14 400 degrees to 800 degrees
pagid rs 4-4 wich you use 350 degrees to 650 degrees

hope this helps

André

good to see that we're on good terms again

Have you ever tried to yellow Pagid's the endurance compound? This also look quite interesting regarding wear and still decent stopping power.

Cheers

Mike

PS: Have to watch TV as my favorite Swiss football team is beating Leed United

Hi Advevo,

I think that is not a good idea fitting one piece discs!
You should go for the CTF separate alloy bell discs, even Claudius didn't warp them with his heavy tme with no brake ducts, pagid rs14 and brown calipers.

The disc of the CTF is supplied without the alloy bell and you can replace it for less money! That is chaeaper than one piece discs!
They are avaible grooved/drilled or grooved.

About the pads, Can you please do a list of the ones you know
with temperatures, friction coefficient, noisy or not, price and impressions?
I would like to know if you have these informations about the ds2500!

And also do you think the ultimate choice is the ds3500plus?

Hey Michael!

What's up?

It's TI SPACCO LA FACCIA!
In Naples they will prounonciate tee spacow laa fachhh!

You know, now Claudius has got some modifications (like a vta blitz blow off that makes no more noise than a std one, LOL) and real tyres(Bridgestones soft compound semislick in 235/40 17)
that's why is nick is Claudius v1.2.

Soon the version v1.4 with new subwoofers, ralliart mats and some new cd!

I have to make fun of him sometimes!

Anyway, a few days ago we weight his tme, guess how much it weights! No more than that!

1460kg:soapbox:
And my rs? 1320kg

The acceleration is not really different, but 1460kg!

Claudius what about a carbon fiber trunk and bonnet and rear wing and mirrors?
