16"

Is there a 16" wheel that fits the Evo 8?

It's sort of strange that nobody has asked this question before, but it '16"' yields empty search results.

Yeah, that's what i thought. I guess the question was more along the lines of does anybody make a wheel that they CALL 16", but does fit. But i would guess there would be no way it could clear the the huge monsters in front.

There are special rally wheels like Compomotive in 16" that clears the Brembos http://www.usacomp.com/ I think the TH2 is one of them.

17 by 9 volk ce28s are 15 flat... or check www.wheelweights.net so the 8 inch wide ones must be lighter.

In Japan the Evo8 RS w/ 5 speed trany seems to come standard with 15" steel wheels. They don't mention anything about this model not having the brembos though. I sort of recall reading somewhere that this model had smaller rotors and 2 & 1 pot calipers (as opposed to our 4 & 2) ?!?

The non-US RS comes with 2pot front calipers and 1pot rear calipers that fit under a 15" wheel, as these brakes are for the gravel cars, all the best gravel tires come in 15" so thats what the cars designed for.
The brembo brakes are an option though.
