Installed Coilovers and Many other Handling Goodles, 56K BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well this weekend was very good. I overnighted many parts from Japan :lol: and this is what I ended up with....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/45b3e2ba.jpg AH yes the Omnipower setup. VERY nice if you ask me, VERY simple. I DID however have a LIL trouble fitting the front coilovers on due to a tiny clearance issue for the bottom 2 bolts. They went on easy enough though. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2180006.jpg Can't be beat for the price. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2180002.jpg Gona do something, do it right http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2180007.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2180008.jpg I also got me a Hotchkins Rear Sway Bar. It was WAY, WAY lighter then the stocker, I could not believe it. The Hotchkins is Hollow. And here are the consequences of my actions. A properly lowered Evo. I also had it aligned perfectly and had it corner balanced today. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210009.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210010.jpg You DO NOT wana go any lower, believe me. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210011.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210013.jpg Now for the pimpness that is my trunk. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210017.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210018.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210019.jpg |
Car looks great, nice drop! {thumbup}
:) :mitsu: |
They ride well. CERTAINLY stoffer then stock, body roll is ALL but eliminated with the help of this little buddy....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210014.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0/P2210016.jpg It does handle quite well but then again I have all season tires on and the ware VERY slowly (read HARD) so I have been also having fun doing 1st and 2nd gear burnouts. These tires do add slop to the equation, I am sure once eliminated the suspension will be extremely responsive. It handles well now but How can I get a true feel with winter tires? The ride is firm, I went with the Street Setup, perfect as far as I am concerned. Ride is a little choppy at slow speeds. For those installing these, make sure to tighten the spring as hard as you can BY HAND and then one last firm wrench turn. That keeps them from squeakin' and Thwacking. Mine are silent. |
Nice! How much did you actually drop the car in the front and back?
|
Not sure, I know the front from the top of the wheel well is just under 25 inches, stock is like 26 or more. These will look AWESOME with my 18's this summer, you will see.

Please let me know if the rears start making a clunking noise. I sent my 2 rears back to omnipower to have them look at them. It sounded like they had a topping out problem .
It was driving me crazy |
What would suck is, if they go bad, I can't send them back until I get new ones
|
Your car is so hot lowered with the rpf1's!!!
