Info wanted Team Dynamics wheels?
Looking at buying a set of the TDR pr1 wheels in the 17x8. I was told the offset just like stock, 38, but yet the still need a type of hub rings. Hub rings make me a little nervous because you still seem to get some type of vibrations from the wheels. Also, they only have the plastic hub rings and this worries me a little.
And last, they have no lugs for these so you have to go to the local auto store to get some. So just curious what your experiences have been for those you who have been riding on these wheels. Any info greatly appreciated. Rob |
I raced all last year (Solo II) on a set of TDR 17x8 (38mm offset) with zero vibration and this was with 245 Hoosier's (R). I also ran a couple track days at 125+ mph with no problems. Hub-centric is not a safety hazard.

Thanks for the info silencer. Any problems with the plastic rings sticking?

I ran these last year too and no problems. I did a few autox's and some high speed driving. I only had one ring that stuck on the hub when I switched out to winter wheels. It came off the hub with no problem though after the wheel was off.

Thanks guys. Looks like I will be getting a set in black. Oh yea one last question,
what did you do for lug nuts? Thanks Rob |
i didn't even use the rings... no problems with many trips to the mountains

I ordered a set of black lug nuts from a local Discount Tire. I spent all last year running my TDRs at the track and haven't had any problems.
