Rotors warp again! what aftermkt one?
this is my second evo, and both of the evo rotor warps, this one is even worth. my last 03 warps but after break in warp went away, but this 05 i have it's got 16000 mile now and still warp. I am thinking to go with Project u, but my friend suggest just go with power slot... anyone using power slot? or what other aftermkt rotor do you use?
thanks in advance for all feedback. |

Floating rotors :D You will never feel warp through the pedal again The link is only for the big brake upgrade. They sell the same thing in the stock size for around $800 - $900. |
Dude, seriously, if your rotors are not thinner than the limit (like 29mm in the front or something) don't bother yet.
I strongly recommend you read this: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...rakedisk.shtml I know it's long, but it is worth it. It tells you also how to prevent it. |
Unless you are tracking the car (and even then)it is very unlikely that they are warped. It is pad buildup. Get some aftermarket pads and keep the rotors you have. Go drive in a spirited fashion
and it will go away. read this http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...rakedisk.shtml and more interesting info http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/faqs.shtml#26 |

I have been beating the crap out of my power slot rotors. After a full season of autocross with a co-driver, there is no significant wear. This is with hawk HPS pads and ~30k miles of street driven miles. |
i got power slot with mu pads.. great grip, no dust, cheap price, about 15k on them, only slight thing to maybe complain about is they get loud when hot.. bu who cares they work good..

I have the Brembo Sport Slotted, with Hawk HPS. Best brake setup i've ever used. Never warped, heat up quickly, and no dust.

Read the FAQ or How-To's on "Rotor Warping" Its fixable. The metal in the rotors doesn't actually warp. It is probably your driving habits that causes this. Uneven deposits of pad across the surface of the brake rotor causing that thumping in the pedal/steering wheel. Check it out, it'll give some good insight. |
