Cheapest Advan Neova's?
 

So the search was not very fruitful. Does anybody know where I can get these tires for the least amount of money? Just as a base line, tirerack is offering the a set of four in the 255/40/17 fitment for:

Price per tire: $224

$896 plus shipping and tax

total = $937.02 shipped to my door

Oh and any opinions about the tire itself would be appreciated since I haven't purchased yet. I'm getting REALLY tired of 400 treadwear tires.

Pure awesome dry tire!!! Some teams are actually using them as full blood race tires. Similar to the B-Stone RE-01R.

Thanks Neal, I was hoping you'd post. So I can probably get 15k out these daily driving, this is just the impression I've got from the treadwear rating?

cant really go by tread wear ratings along, most the time they are pretty inaccurate. I'd say both tires would get 10-12K miles properly taken care of. those guys really could care less about anything but dry traction and response. everything else, tread wear included, gets kicked to the curb.

Great tire. I got 11,000 miles out of them with 4 track days and 1 autocross in there, although two of the track days were in the rain so that probably helped tire life a bit. If you are running an 8" wide wheel (i.e. stock), I would go with the 245/40-17 rather than the 255. The 255's feel very sloppy on the 8" wide wheel, so much so that after I got them I bought wider wheels that I wasn't really planning on buying. The 245's were great.

I'm on my second set of Neova's, don't get them unless you want to be spoiled and feel that your stuck buying expensive tires. First I ran 245's on a 8.5" wheel, now on the same wheel I run a 255/40/17. Very good tire, I dont think there is another tire for dry and wet conditions that I would run. My first set i paid 920 or so mounted and balanced (245/40/17). The 255's I got a killer hook up.

What size wheel you going to run them on?

Mounted and balancing would cost me about $100, pricey but well worth the assurance of not having my Ce's scratch by the dufus at tire rack. :lol: The guy uses some sort of airbag system that doesn't scratch rims.

Really have to say they are about the same. The differences recorded in our track/road testing are extremely close. Those are probably the two most similar tires I've driven. Even in wet, where normally a Yoko would fall to the BS, they are very very similar. You can't go wrong with either one. We helped Bridgestone develop the RE.

I think he's referring to the Toyo RA-1 R-compound tire. In that case I don't think the Neovas are going to win, unless temps are cold and the RA-1's get no heat in them.

Bump for an answer, there must be some confusion because those two tires are in different leagues, right? Street tire vs. R-compound...
