come on help pls?

I will probably get flamed for saying this, but wouldnt the 10's be more worthwhile on the front? If so wider fenders will be needed. But if its for more show then race then a bit of fender roll will be needed. Probably cut and pulled. This probably doesnt help but I am sure someone will chime in here.

what do u guys think about the 44 offset

Vigo Mar 15, 2007 07:15 PM

Go good buy center diff.

Sap12687 Mar 15, 2007 07:16 PM

Probably won't fit with that offset, might with a little work. It's not a good idea to run a wider wheel/tire in the rear of these cars. Its going to put a lot of pressure on your drivetrain. I run a wider wheel up front.

ok so what do u think about the 44 offset is it even worth to try cuz i know i have to my fenders i just want to know if its possible

evoIXmyninja Mar 15, 2007 07:19 PM

"roll my fenders"

Vigo Mar 15, 2007 07:21 PM

Are you seriously considering this idea? If you are, you're going to destroy your ACD. This is not a rear wheel drive car. It's AWD with 50/50 torque distribution. It is always best to use the same wheel and tire combination width with this type of drivetrain.

Sap12687 Mar 15, 2007 07:22 PM

I wish i could give you a yes or no answer i just am not 100% sure. Its not an offset you see on our cars often but the wheel's spoke design is relatively flat and simple so it may clear the calipers. The 10's would probably need rolling. I think the 10's will fit but the 9's wont.

He won't hurt his ACD if he puts the 10's up front but i think thats a little overkill. Find another set. GTU's aren't that sexy anyways.

Vigo Mar 15, 2007 07:28 PM

That idea will also hurt your drivetrain. That type of set-up is only good for front wheel drive cars. A wider offset in the front will work as long as you keep the width the same as the rear. JDM Evo tuners use that wider front offset trick to increase front end grip.

Vigo Mar 15, 2007 07:29 PM

You will also need to have the same overall diameter for all four wheel and tire combinations. If you don't, you will have drivetrain damage too.
