Best suspension setup?
Hey guys,
I'm working on having a REALLY good handling evo, budget is not really an issue as long as its not overly crazy...lol, so let me know, what would you personally go with for your suspension setup? oh yea...btw...telling me to search doesnt really answer anything, cuz ive already searched but Im looking for "updates opinions" just in case new better parts are out from when the topic that I searched was active ;) Thanks in advance guys! |

Is this car being set up for road course, auto-x, or just street use? What tires will you be running on?

right now its just driven on the street, I have a 35r so its not really road course material i dont think...but yea, for now Im only on the streets, but I think theres good room for improvement with how it feels

In my "opinion"
Out of box options: 1. JIC "track setup" best bang for the buck sub $1,500 for cheap speed. 2. Ohlins are good but why spend the money when you can spend a little more on Moton clubsports. 3. Moton clubsports/JRZ are the highest quality "out of box" shock. Custom: My custom 3 way Penske's... be prepared to spend, No out of box valving can touch custom valved shocks with Penske pistons. You're in CT? my guy makes these Penske's very close to you :) I can hook you up with them if you want. -Kyle |

I have the Tein Mono Flex Coilovers w/ perrin rear sway bar, stout mounts and rear end links. i could not be happier and they are all adjustable for any type of driving you want to do and mine is daily driven. I found a great deal on all these parts as well before I purchased them, pm me for the location etc...

1. Stance
2. MR street/track Again, for street use, a full coilover may be an overkill -- it is still better than struts/spring setup since eventually you want coilovers... |
I have tried megans,Ohlins, Moton, Tein they where ok but....I really like the JIC Flat 2 w/ custom valving and spring rates and they are smooth on the tracks...
