Girodisc's FTW

Just finished my first HPDE since installing my 2 piece girodisc rotors. Last time I went out with stock rotors I developed really bad pad deposits but not this time. Rotors were awesome all weekend, no shake, no fade, just solid performance.

Thanks Martin

What are "really bad pad deposits"?. my rotors are nearlying the end of their lifespan and I'm trying to justify the cost for 2-piece. My last event I had an OTE because i boiled my fluid at the end of a 120mph staight. It was most likely due to not changing my motul 600 for 6 months an 4 previous track days (dumb). But still... what is a pad deposit?

I believe pad deposits are from when you stop the car after hard braking, and put on the e-brake, and the hot pad melts onto the rotor, which causes a shaking like that of a warped rotor. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Pad deposits can occur for a number of reasons. I had pad deposites on my front rotors which caused a bad shake during high speed braking. Most likely I got it from bad seating or just uneven pad wear. Slotted rotors will help eliviate this by keeping you pad surfaces clean and even. It doesn't matter if they are one piece or two. They work the same. The two piece rotors just weigh less.
