Are Ferrodo DS2500's the BEST?

I want to replace my brake pads for the street. I hear these are the best pads you can get without changing over to dedicated track pads. Is that true, or are there other options? Price is not really an issue...

Thanks.{thumbup}

I run Hawk HPS pads and they are awesome street pads

For the street I would recomend Carbotech AX6.

im been looking for some also.. from my research the 2500 seem to be the best.. though a lil more expensive then the hawks..

i use EBC Yellow stuff.... they are beyond amazing, but they have the Green Stuff for street, so i would imagine they are extremely well seein as my Yellows are uncomparable to anything ive had so far....

I got the DS2500 last week & went to the track this past weekend. They did great for both street & track. I used the stock shims & anti squeal lube & I haven't noticed any noise. I havent used anything other than stock so I can't compare them to anything else, but I'm happy.

ferodo's 2500 and pf 97's are the very good pad. HAWKS SUCK PERIOD IMO

The Ferodo DS2500 are the best pad hands down imo....

Hawk pads are loud as ****..... Spend the extra money especially if you daily drive the Evo...

Cheers!

I have DS2500 on Baer 2-piece rotors along with stoptech brake lines and Super blue brake fluid...

These pads are amazing! i had them on older cars before so i knew what i was going to get in terms of performance...

I might hear some pad noise once and then but nothing crazy. Plenty of 115-120 mph brakings at the track, they just grab and the car stops...

Haven't tried anything else but i dont think i will since these pads cover me 120%...

Great, I guess I will place my order then, along with 2 bottles of Motul RBF600. :D

You got very lucky {thumbup}

I've never driven a car with hawk pads that havent made a sound...

Cheers!

If you are tracking the car you will eventually need something else but they are the best street pad!
I wish they would handle the track better for me.

same here, even my HT-10s are fairly quite, if people are having sound issues with HPS's thats an install error.

I personally don't think there is a right or wrong street pad as long as you buy a street pad. They're all good. Only when one needs a track pad does it really matter.

I've had my HAWK pads for about 10000 miles now and they are fantastic.

First, they are relatively quiet, then get pretty loud after about 1000 miles, but then start to quiet down until they don't sqeel at all. completely quiet after 4-5K miles.
