Apexi N1's??
Looking to purchase some coilovers this winter...car well be used for street and drag racing...
What are your opioions on the Apexi N1s? |
i was wondering the same thing about the apexi coilovers
nobody knows anything bout these?
I love mine. Car launches perfect every time. I'm not sure about road racing, but I know they are perfect for drag racing and are very reasonably priced.
any another oppinions? i have already bought it, but still not instal on the car
what about tunes of this coilovers? thanks and sorry for bad english :) |
Apexi makes nice coilovers so I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase. JDM coilovers do tend to ride a tad on the rough side though.
JDM coilovers are known for shorter suspension travel vs. european ones like Ohlins, KWs, Bilsteins, etc. also the Apexis are very similar in construction to the Megan and Buddy Club coilovers on the low end of JDM coilovers....if u're going that route, I'd go for the cheapest...the Megans. GL!
Most of these guys are on the N1's they are light, work, and have been proven to get the job done. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/dr...cond-club.html and most are street cars. I ran these on a shock dyno to get some idea on the rebound adjustment and that is how we made big gains on our 60ft times and how they controlled the atitude down track.
So N1s for dragging...not for road racing?
Bought mine from esevo kind of a hammy down set. They are great on the street i have not draged them or road raced them but he did. His times were great. At a track day he had the best time hands down. And as for drag racing he was very fast as well. They are a great all around coilover put them in you will love them.
They are great for road racing ESEVO is a rockin road racer and these were his coilovers of choice i just picked them up from him when he was completely rebuilding the car into a total race beast.
David Buschur road raced them, and won an autoX event with the N1's. I do not have any road race experience with them and believe there are better options available for that arena, but for the street and drag racing they are the best bang for the buck. Just my 2 cents .
Is my recollection fooling me? I thought the Apexi's were the same as Megan coilover and buddy clubs...thus low end JDM (short suspension travel) coilovers = not the best stuff out there.
I would thinkBR would be time-attacking/road racing on higher end stuff, no? |

OK...and I thought the Apexi stuff was the same as the Megans, and the Megans are generally the lowest cost of the Apexi/BC/Megan line. They look similar as far as I can tell:
