Wilwood brake fluid

My friend told me that he has a unopened wilwood brake fluid is sitting in his garage and ask me if I want it since I am upgrading my braking system. I did my search on the forum, however, I don't find much about this brake fluid. Anybody is using this brake fluid and can throw in your 2 cents?

What DOT level?

lutionDog Mar 8, 2010 12:44 PM

5.1 or 5 need to check but I am guessing not silcone based

Smike Mar 8, 2010 01:17 PM

Yep, cant use it.

lutionDog Mar 8, 2010 01:48 PM

If that is Polyethylene Glycol based, DOT 5.1 Can I use it?

5.1 can be used. But it has different chemistry over a DOT3 or DOT4. What is in there now? DOT4 is the closest chemically.

I'm using the 600EXP after I cooked Motul during a canyon carving session. Its been holding up ever since without fade.

Our race car also runs it, although its not an Evo.
