X BBS Wheels on Evo 8 Question

I just bought a set for my 04 RS and had a couple of questions.

1. Can you use stock lugnuts from 8 Enkei?
2. ANyone ever use spacer? If yes how big can you go or suggest?

I wanted a more agressive look so was considering using spacers. Wheels are 18x8.5 +38 I believe.

Thanks

stock lugs will work

spacer you could go up to 8mm before you'll need to roll the rear fenders assuming you are running a 245+ tire and you are lowered

if you want a more aggressive look why buy a stock wheel set?

Thanks for the input! I got a pretty good deal on the wheels so I figured I would try them out and trade up if it was too simple looking. I will be running a 245/40/18. If I rolled fenders, could I go 15mm?

bump

If I rolled fenders in rear, could I go with a larger spacer? ANyone use a spacer with this set up?

You may be in un-chartered territory. Im running the X wheel w/ a 255/35 tire & Ive tried a 5mm spacer but ended up removing them due to vibration (Rear fenders not rolled)

The X BBS is the same spec as the GSR (as far as I know) 18 x 8.5 +38. By adding the 15mm spacer you are effectively running a +23. Give it a try!!!
You may need aggressive rear camber to make it work right.

I would think the fronts would work well

Peace

Cool, thanks!Ill try the 15 and if it doesnt work, ill go with rolling the fenders next.

^^^My good guess is that you will certainly need to roll the rears

Love to see it after the install=)
