ccw lm20's PROBLEM!

I have a set of ccw lm20s that came of my Acura tl the specs are..
FRONT 18X10.5 BS 6.75 (+25MM) 4' LIP
REAR 18X10.5 BS 6.50 (+19MM) 4.5' LIP

Can these fit on my Evo 9 mr? I tried to bolt them on today and the front would not clear the brakes, and on the back i belief the hub ring was bigger than the wheel so it whould have gouged the Wheel if i tighten it up.

Would these work with any type of wheel spacer or is this way out of the question??please give me some feedback asap so i could know weather to sell them and purchase another set.

Thx ppl

Do you even have the fender work needed to work with that size/offset?

Call Dan @ CCW. He is a wizard with fitment and their wheels. Unless you find someone who has done exactly what you did you will only get educated/non-educated answers on here. Dan is part of the company that makes the wheel

What size tires do you have on the wheels now?

1000psi Oct 15, 2012 07:44 PM

The rims currently have a 225/40

225's on a 10.5" wheel??

Please don't put those on your Evo.

Take this opportunity to put a 285s on there as well and go for performance...

Since your new to the board, Ill be friendly and give you the breakdown here. You got this section, Performance first, then you have Show'n'shine, who sacrifices performance and safety for looks. We don't get along with them.

245s on a 10.5" wheel is unsafe. 9.5" is really the absolute max I would consider safe and that's only on a tire that runs wide like a dunlop starspec or toyo R1-R. If you really want 10.5" wheels, you'll need at least a 265 tire (Again, at that something that runs wide).

SmurfZilla Oct 16, 2012 12:26 PM

Hankook RS-3's run pretty wide as well.

You need to change your barrels.

Your offset doesn't work very well, BUT.

I would run your +19's up front and your +25's out back.

I run 18x10.5 classics and I have +38 all around with a 22mm spacer up front.

So my front effective offset is +16 and I clear the caliper by about 2mm.

So your +19 wheel SHOULD fit up front because the LM20's have more caliper clearance than the classics... Per Dan @ CCW.

So see if that works.

CCW does their hubcentric stuff with the centercap. Remove your center caps and test fit the wheels. You'll need to order 4 new center caps for your LM20's that match the hub bore size of the Evo.

I had to buy new ones because I bought a set from an s2000 owner who had 225's on his 10.5's... who ended up selling them because, "they didn't fit."

Your front offset (+19) is almost perfect IMO... your rear offset at +25 may be VERY close to the rear trailing arm...and be very difficult to tuck. Robispec sells an offset trailing arm that would allow you to change the barrel out on your wheels to change your offset to something like +38... and make it fit in the rear.

Take it from me... I've done it.
