Advan AD08's

I've driven on Hoosiers (A6 and R6), Toyo R888's and RAI's, Hankook RS3's, Bridgestone RE11's and RE01rs, Michelin Pilot Super Sports, Falken RT-615k's, and many other performance tires...

the AD08's are the best performing street tire I have used...ever. Totally worth the money.

I almost bought these for my car but figured it's not worth it for a car that will never see a track, so I got star specs

Ever driven A046?

I'd like to see some comparison of the new tires that have been released, specifically the Dunlop Z-II and the Rivals. Please post if you get a chance to try those.

I've driven Hoosiers, Goodyear slicks, and Pirelli slicks, conti slicks...

I've been on awesome race tires and r comps... I'm talking a street tire.

They can be a really fast tire, and sadly, are often overlooked due to their price. If they were a bit more competitive price wise I wouldn't be surprised to see just as much chatter as the ZI/ZII"s get.

IMHO - best street tire there is (A046)

I completing agree. If it weren't for there pricing there would be no comparison. I wish they would be closer in pricing to the ZII's, RS3's....

I really want to agree but I know people will scream!

The stock Evo tires when new offered incredible feel and performance. I liked them better than the the RS3 that I run now. To bad they cost a fortune.

I prefer these

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Best I've ever had. Last a ill longer then 8-10k miles as well...

rawkus Mar 25, 2013 02:16 PM

I've been on a million billion different tires too, but sadly never the AD08's. The problem is, as long as the Hankook RS-3 exists (and is in stock), I can't believe there would be a compelling enough reason to spend more money on any other street tire.

Why do you feel they are superior to the RS-3s?

Are you talking better lateral grip? Better feedback? Better longitudinal grip?

Better everything?

Better overall compromise?

R/TErnie Mar 26, 2013 02:14 PM

This is a total non-quantitative thread.

But I just feel like I have waaay more grip laterally and longitudinally.

03whitegsr Mar 26, 2013 04:49 PM

Yeah, I get you there. The R-S3 stinks for feedback IMO and it's hard to tell how close you are to the limit...until you pass it.

I run the toyo R888 and love them but there to noisy for street driving. I don't know if I want the AD08's or the pilot super sports? I was leaning toward the michelins because they have better wear with still great performance, but I would think the yoko ad08 is one bad ass tire. They look awesome.
