Lug nuts for stock enkei's
 

Looking for the correct lug nuts that will fit stock enkei's. I'm getting them powdercoated and am looking for a set of black lug nuts. I hear this can be a bit more complicated.


Can someone point me in the right direction?


Will any 12 x 1.50 lug nut work?

OEM Mitsu wheels use a mag seat washer style nut. Cheapest OEM option is to find some DSM lug nuts.

However all oem's will be chrome.

Safe to say these will also fit the Evo 8/9 MR stock BBS wheels correct?

I literally paid close to 4 times more TODAY for an OEM set, and these are much nicer!

Thanks everyone, I ordered those lugs from ebay and they'll be here Saturday. Saved me a headache and a few bucks.

Will someone elaborate on the negative aspects of using the tapered style lug nuts on the stock wheels? Is there just less surface area physically locking the wheels into place?

Asking because I use my stock wheels for autox and have the tapered style lug nuts.

Basically its a serious misfit of mating parts. A taper style tuner lug mated to a flat surface on the wheel

I know this is kind of an old thread, but I'd rather build on the foundation already laid..

Is the shank of the factory lug 18.5mm wide or am I missing reading their measurements in the ebay ad?

I put the stock Enkeis on my 240, but I only have conical style lugs to go on them so I'm not going to drive on them. I'd like to get another set of M12x1.25mm mag seat style but I think that the shank (the part that fits into the wheel when the lug is tight) needs to fit into the lug hole of the wheel pretty close. There's some I found on eBay that are 18mm wide but it seems the factory style is 18.5mm... will that .5mm make that much difference or am I pretty safe to get those?

I've also considered changing the lug studs to an M12x1.5mm like the Evo but the only ones I can find that fit the 240 are ARP aftermarket and they are 60mm long and wont work with the stock Lug nuts... Seems like every time I think I have this problem solved I hit another wall.

Heres what most guys do for long studs on the EvO and want to run the stockers. I see that the 240 has a thinner stud but hope this helps

That would be a good solution, but I'd rather not have to buy and install new studs though. However I didn't think about looking on Amazon and I found these which I believe measure out exactly the same shank width as the factory Evo lugs but in a 1.25 thread pitch

So I think these might be my ticket. Best of all worlds in that I can use the Evo wheels, with the factory lug stud on the 240, and they're only $40 and 2 day shipping (which I can get these wheels on the car and tested to make sure there's no rubbing etc before my trip to the Tail of the Dragon! :D )

MZ315051 Black Lug Nuts & Wheel Locks Set meant for 18MY and 19MY Eclipse Cross and Outlander models.

I suspect these would be more appropriate since they say "RALLIART" on the ends.

MZ314761 Wheels, Lock and Lug Kit meant for Lancer models.

I don't have any insight for the eclipse, but just a check in. I got my m12x1.25 black lug nuts and they fit the Evo wheel perfectly and look great on the car! I had to use the Ole 19mm 12 point socket and hammer trick to get my lock nuts off the Evo since this is the second time I've lost the key to them I'll never use another set of locking lugs like that... I've never lost a key to any other set of lug nuts For some reason that one is just hard to remember to grab and put back in the car I guess.
