18x10 or 18x10.5??

Planning on moving up to 275 RE71's from the 255's I've been running all year and wondering if I should just go straight to 10.5's in case I ever decide to run more width down the road.

A nip and tuck on the fenders is a non issue as we already beat the hell out of them and I literally don't give much of a **** about how the car looks. I honestly have not washed it all year even after a dozen track days :P

Also, what model wheel and offset you guys recommend for the least amount of pull/poke under $2k a set?

Run through this thread. Will give some good insight into what it takes

It's looking like Enkei RPF in 18x10 +38 is the easiest and just requires a 15mm spacer in the front.

Either an NT03+M or PF01. They both clear brakes much better than RPF1s do. Pretty much the same price and offsets are a bit better.

I run a 275 on 10.5 right now and it's a good fit. There's a slight stretch to the tires. Moving to 295 for next year.

The 18x10 RPF1 needs a 17mm spacer minimum, but pretty much all the others in the 10ish range will need the same just to get them off the strut enough. I do have 1 set of light weight spacers made that are coming back from Anodizing specifically for the RPF1s since we're on that topic.

But when you talk about not caring about fenders, I'd say go as big as you can. Hard to beat going bigger in tire and wheel over most any other thing you can do. The RPF1 is great for ~275s but the 10.5" wheel makes the 285s happier.

I ran a 255 that was a bit stretched on a 9.5 wheel. Not sure if all their tires run on the narrow side. You may wanna look into that.
im wanting a 10.5 for a 275 NT01, but a 10 seems to be easier to do...it's hard to find just the right wheel and tire combo.

Are you selling the spacers and if so what size are they?

This is why I'm going with the RPF1's in 18x10 +38. It seems the easiest to go up to a 275 by just adding a 20mm spacer in the front. Going to 10.5's everything I found was +15 offset or lower which means the back fenders would need some serious trimming/pulling. Initially I thought I would be okay with it but looking into it I decided if I'm going to go that far down the rabbit hole may as well do over fenders and then the sky is the limit on wider sizes :P

That is exactly what I found.

I make custom spacers ($110-120) to the size people need on thickness, bolt dia, hub and wheel bore. I brought it up cause the only one i have made right now is an RPF1 specific spacer since its a common wheel for track evos. And cause I had it sitting around and needed to meet a min order, I tossed it in to get anodized with my other parts.

I wouldn't mind a spacer that feels like it doesn't weigh 10lbs and has a hubcentric ring that isn't a separate piece/wants to get lost/etc.

The set I have done that I'll pick up with my batch of anodized parts is 18mm thick with wheel bore for RPF1. I make the bores to 0.1mm bigger than the hub and smaller than the wheel. That seems to be a good balance of tight enough but not getting stuck.

I'll take them if they are up for grabs.
