Coilovers: Front Higher Or Rear Higher?

Got new coilovers and getting things setup

my car is for street purposes only NO TRACK OR DRAG RACING
- highway cornering
- hard acceleration “517hp” 700hp in the future
- etc

Which side needs to be higher for the best setup, and the differences between the front being higher or vise versa the rear being higher

currently the rear is a tad higher than the front by a half inch

For best handling, typically the front has a bit more fender gap than the rear. But for your uses, that's not really gonna be important so just set it up to where you like the look.

Heres a visual & numerical example for ya

Im at:
  • Fender to ground = Front 25.375" & Rear 25.000"

For handling, lower the rear more than the front. Stock is 0.5" difference with front higher. RC drops at ~3:1 with front dropping faster. That approx cause it depends on slider axis and how you do your camber, but basically just keep the front higher than the rear or expect to add a lot more front roll stiffness than rear.
