Ferodo's or Project Mu ?

I have 7k on my car and the pads are done. 6k of the miles are driven hard autocrossed, mountain driving etc.

So here are my requirments.
I want the best performing pad (this is the most important thing)
Less dust then the stock pads.

Thats it I could care less if they are noisey or loud.

So has anyone had experience with both? Or any other pads that are very good?

I got Project MU street pads from vivid racing. Very quiet and they break better than stock. plus there is almost no dust {thumbup}

If you want the best performance pad its deff the performance friction 97 compound. They lit on fire in the time attack on streets of willow and they still didnt fade also same pads as the evo in USCC

From what I've heard the Project Mu pads are on back order from Mackin Industry.

jerastan Jun 8, 2004 09:11 AM

Ferado pads rock. They're a bit loud at times, but then again they're made for the track...

TYRONEBIGGUM Jun 8, 2004 12:53 PM

www.performancefriction.com you want the 97 compound. I started running these because Robi (who won the OTC and is in the USCC) said they were the best pads....... and they are.

I have the Project Mu pads from Vivid....they are great from a street car. They can be a little loud at times until they warm up. Dusting is greatly reduced and is great. I tracked the car with these pads on and was not overwhelmingly impressed. Due to the lack of dusting the pads heated up extremely fast and caused a warping feeling in the steering wheel as they got very hot. I will be upgrading brake cooling, replacing my front rotors(due to having uneven deposits and feeling warped), and getting race pads for track days. Dust = heat dissipation......my .02

anyone have the part number for the perfromance friction pads?, or a number where I can locate and purchase some.

TYRONEBIGGUM Jun 8, 2004 08:07 PM

www.raceshopper.com bam there you go ask a quote for performance friction 97 compound. They are loud but they are the best brakes for the evo.
