Yeah, dont get me wrong.. the B&M is a good shifter.. simple clean install with no problems.. shifter fits nice.. good product.. but... i didnt feel much of a difference in the throw.. yeah you can feel a difference.. but not too much.. i was dissapointed.. my friend installed a spoon sports shifter in his civic si and it is soooo short.. it feels awesome.. now i dont know if that has something to do with the fact that his car doesnt use cable shifting? his hooks right up to the linkage.. so if this ILP one is shorter then the B&M. i may give it a try!

Personally I was more than pleased with my B&M, but I may swap it out next time I go down to ILP depending upon my funds.

If I do do the swap I'll be sure to post a review compared to the B&M as well as an install guide. Again, I'm in no way unhappy with the shift of the B&M (I think most people who have problems with it didn't install energy bushings or didn't lubricate properly), but the shaft on my shifter is different than the other B&M's I've seen and I'd like to take it out and compare. The threading on mine sucks royally.

I don't think the short shifter comes in styles. It's a shaft with pivot points on the sides a ball at the bottom to connect the shifter assembly's cable, and threading at the top. They look very simple but looks belie their true beauty.

I don't wanna continue on the B&M thing, but I'm honestly suprised you didn't notice much of a difference, bitnode. Mine was shorter to the point where I was slamming the shaft up against the ends and sides of the gates when I first put it in.

My B & M is very short feeling. Very happy with it. Bushing for housing help give it a more positive feel too.

when I get 10 confirmed orders at the introductory price I will go down to the machine shop and make them. since it dosent pay me to start up the CNC machine for one part.

I have 3 confirmed orders so far.
