possibly because you can buy them on ebay so cheap...or they are subscribing to the "if it ain't broke..."

Keep in mind there is an "OEM Replacment" and a "Racing" Koyo. Looks like this is the "Racing" model.

the oem replacement is a plastic core, and the racing series is bigger aluminum core. +30% better cooling =)
