Twinscroll 3582HTA-Ivey Tuned

Yesterday Ivey re-tuned my car after I fixed my boost leak. Last time with 26psi and pump gas the car put down 460whp (November 2009). Yesterday in 95+ temperatures the car put down 490whp @28psi. There was an overall 30whp gain from the 2psi increase, BC 272 cams, and the meth. There is probably more gains if you take into account the weather conditions. Car feels absolutely amazing on the street. Full boost was around 4800. Sean as usual did a fantastic job and explained everything done to the car. This is as far as I will push the stock block.

beautiful numbers, nice solid tq curve.
If you ever decide to build the engine, you gotta replace those cams with some S2 or 214-b though ;-)

I will be replacing a couple of things and GSC S2s will be the cam of choice. I am also looking at replacing my current .78 divided housing for a 1.06 divided. I will work closely with Sean for the engine build.

GSC S2 cams FTW, I love mine. Definitely the cam to go with when you make the switch.

thats one of those fun crap-shoot questions. B/c his low-end tq is low, it should be just fine. Still, its always dangerous.... Most ppl who break 400-450tq end up blowing the engine, so I'd say he's safe until he builds it.

TJ for a DD Ivey won't really add more power to my car.

I am sitting at 444whp and 371wtq and he doesn't want to push it much past that. Keep it under 400wtq.

Also wanted to add that keeping the stock rev limit at 7500 also helps the longevity of the motor. High revs and 400+ tq have lead to the failure of rods/rod bolts from what I've been seeing. Even when you think you're playing it safe something can still happen.

Yeaaaa...thats what I thought too. Play it safe, keep stock rev limit on my last build, still snapped my rod.
